Esposende: A 9 hole course with views across the Cávado River. Facilities include a driving range; putting greeen; pro-shop and restaurant.

Póvoa de Varzim: An 18 hole links immediately behind the beach with a driving range; putting green; pro-shop and restaurant.

Miramar: This club, founded in 1932, is a nine holer each with two tees giving an 18 hole effect. Splendid views of the Atlantic Ocean. A driving range; putting green; pro-shop and restaurant are all part of the facilities.

Espinho: this is one of the oldest clubs in Europe - founded in 1890 by the British port wine business fraternity. There are 18 holes on these links, putting and chipping greens; driving range; pro-shop and restaurant.

Amarante: This latest addition was founded in 1997. An 18 hole course close to the old Roman Town of Amarante which spans the Tâmega River - a tributary of the Douro. There is a driving range; swimming pool and restaurant.

All these courses are generally under-utilised in comparison with those elsewhere in Portugal - particularly courses in the Algarve.
